here is the vid - it's not apparent just how much the tires are spinning due to cold and no VHT - I'm trying to get a hold of the other video that shows the tires smoking - i'll post my msd output too... ;) My 60 foot was off 1.5 tenths so as far as I'm concerned it's an 8 second car!

right click, save target as.

EDIT - I have exceeded my monthly download limit due to all of you guys! So unless someone will host the video SORRY!

thanks for your input ed. Keep running those mid 10's graemlins/hurray.gif I drove it to the track - more than I can say for your trailer-queen-slug.

Anyways, here is rpm graph and another showing slope. It spun at 0.8s, 2.76 to 3.09, 3.38, 3.73, 6.16, 7, 7.44, 7.89, and 8.27 seconds into the run. smile.gif

Awesome vid - any chance of getting some in car video?

Is it any wonder that so many kids are turning japanese these days - Ryan drives his car to the track, clicks off a low 9 @ 150 under less than ideal conditions, yet he continues to be heckled by a trailered mid 10 second car???

Mullet man/Ed/go to guy, Ryan will soon enough get an 8 second pass in under more favorable conditions. At which point he will be some two seconds quicker than you - and you will still be yapping away "that is slow for a nitrous 632". All of which makes Ryan's signature line look even more meaningful.

Like the man said, "Your not trying to convience me that that's a true street car now!"

For those that don't get out often here's a few more of the northeast's street cars whose owners/builders know how to make power and put it to the ground.

Oh and these guys actually race an entire season competing in a points series not one outing on test/tune night!

I like to know what the combo really is if it's not what Racer1320 says it is because I'm in the process of building a similar combo for my '67 Camaro and if mid/low 10's are not in my future would someone please speak up. I've been reading about the BSE combo for some time and it seems to be the most streetable BBC combo capable of such ET's.

Pretty impressive cars there ed - but considering your population base I would expect it. Not much out here, but there is a new car in town that drives on the streets on pump gas and then went 180mph in the 1/4 (spinning) with only a dozen tuning runs. That's with 5000 foot air - what would that be at atco?

Ed,
I concidered myself someone who believed that you believed every word you said.
I never doubted a word of your performance advice, or the authenticity of your combination.
Or your integrity.

Your BSE combination represented car performance beyond what I thought possible, with parts that wouldn't put me in the poor house, or the dog house.

But why attack somebody else ?
Let it go.

Have you ever met Al, and Dot ?
They are amoung the nicest people I have ever been introduced to. Very friendly, and polite.

Why battle on their site ?

There are people I don't like, but I don't put a second of thought per day into punishing them.

Nice run in that 66, I doubt you'll ever win at "bracket racing" unless you lose the spray and dial the chassis, but "test'n'tune is fun too.

I hope you don't drive like that on the street, and BTW, is the car NHRA cerfied?

I hope you don't drive like that on the street, and BTW, is the car NHRA cerfied? If I ever sign up for a bracket race, shoot me, ok? ;) No offense to the bracket racers out there, but it's just not my gig.

And YES, I drive like that on the street graemlins/beers.gif - less the nitrous. I actually think I had it hooking better on the street than in that run with a cold/non-prepped track. I can get the wheels up on the street. Solo runs in the deserted industrial area only - no street racing here. graemlins/sad.gif I just gotta get it out of my system after idling around town feathering the throttle. :D

Yes, the car is NHRA certified, and so is the driver. But now I need IHRA 'cause they're moving to town.

i feel bad for the guy that you slam into when that thing does a 180 at 100+ mph.

QuickHotrods,
Malibuman is typical of those who cant do better, which instead of trying to beat Ed at his game, he has taken to spreading lies and insults.

If you'll notice that the people who agree with Ed on this site are all producing better then typical Et's with there rides, and doing it with less.

dont worry, the roller cam version of Ed's BSE 468" engine will without a doubt put your camaro into the low 10's.
The street roller version went as quick as 10.48 @125.5 with a 1.36 60ft, with the typical bracket tune on it for consistancy, in a 3900lb ride mind you.

As of recent, there has been a cam swap which will yeild Et's in the 10.30 range, it has already gone .10 quicker then the typical Et's in the weather it has run in, and we're waiting for the good Air to show up and bring new Best Et's with them.

The only thing that will prove to cuase you're ride to run slower then low 10's would be straying from the build.

66 283, street ride eh?
A street ride IMO generally does not include billet roller cams requiring 1000lbs of open spring pressure and over .750" of lift.
A 4 link
Inner fenders removed
Glass hood
aluminum headed small block

I'm guessing this car has those 10lb racing seats installed, since not too long ago you went on a weight cutting binge.

No doubt has the heater and radio removed, as well as the wipers.

Were did your website disapear to? afraid the chevelle users might see all of this (or not see it?)

And this car is claimed to weigh 3900lbs, right??

Also i believe you claim your aluminum heads weigh more then typical BBC iron heads??? We know thats a lie, as that would require it to have twice as much aluminum as the typical BBC cylinder head.

You guys tell me who is lying here?

BTW when you remove the attitde, the lies and that dumbass signature, Ed and myself might have a little respect for you.

That ignition box is incredible!

I'll take my foot out of my mouth re: the three stages stuff - I'm obviously still living in the 90's. Timing on a switch - no wonder I make you LOL.

Does it have feedback to which gear is engaged? Does it have an proportional output to run another device? Does it have a proportional input?

My mind is swimming.....

I should be getting all my 462ci stuff back from schlep this week - including the $$$ - will finish dressing the 509ci once I've decided on a cam. Ohhhh mister bowtie - what big domes you have!!

MAT yes mat, the box is amazing. even has a map sensor in the data recording - I'm going to poorboy it to my nitrous fuel pressure so I can data log that too - it has a pressure switch built in also - can use it like a digital hobbs ;)

it knows what gear you are in by a user defined rpm drop - default is 500 rpm. the slew rpm/sec limit will be key to hooking up. on the street it can hook through a mud puddle. lol.

shoot me an email sometime - I know of a 500'ish engine for sale in BC for cheap that makes over 700hp (like $5k cdn cheap). short deck bowtie.

You bash this site and its users on other sites and yet you just can't help but find a way to post here. It's been pretty obvious you guys have been watching the site even while banned.

What gives? If it's so bad why are you here? Why start crap?

So you don't like Ryan because he is faster than you and pokes a little fun in his sig.? Are you in Jr. high? So what if you know someone faster. Who cares. Why rain on others parade?

You have knowledge that can be useful to people yet you choose to come across with a holier than thou attitude. "Do it my way or you are WRONG". Even if EVERYONE ELSE is wrong, not everyone has the same goals, aspirations, or desire to run an oval port 468 like youGET OVER IT. Present your experience knowledge and move on. Leave the other $%!& for your sandbox.

Have you ever given a little thought that maybe you guys get treated the way you do because of your own actions?

Sorry guys, but I felt compelled to restate the obvious here.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

1. An exaggerated sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

Translation: Grandiosity is the hallmark of narcissism.

2. Preoccupation with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

Translation: Narcissists cultivate solipsistic or "autistic" fantasies, which is to say that they live in their own little worlds (and react with affront when reality dares to intrude).

3. Believes he is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

Translation: Narcissists think that everyone who is not special and superior is worthless. By definition, normal, ordinary, and average aren't special and superior, and so, to narcissists, they are worthless.

4. Requires excessive admiration

Translation: Excessive in two ways: they want praise, compliments, deference, and expressions of envy all the time, and they want to be told that everything they do is better than what others can do. Sincerity is not an issue here; all that matter are frequency and volume.

5. Has a sense of entitlement

Translation: They expect automatic compliance with their wishes or especially favorable treatment, such as thinking that they should always be able to go first and that other people should stop whatever they're doing to do what the narcissists want, and may react with hurt or rage when these expectations are frustrated.

6. Selfishly takes advantage of others to achieve his own ends

Translation: Narcissists use other people to get what they want without caring about the cost to the other people.

7. Lacks empathy

Translation: They are unwilling to recognize or sympathize with other people's feelings .

8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him

Translation: No translation needed.

9. Shows arrogant, haughty, patronizing, or contemptuous behaviors or attitudes

Translation: They treat other people like dirt.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...
