I am interested in purchasing a 1969 camaro X66 car with matching number engine so says the seller.
The body build date is 03B (March 2nd week). The engine block casting date is:
March 6,69. I looked up the month of March in 1969 and the first day fell on a saturday .
If the next week is counted as the first week then the body came about a week to nine days later than the engine. If the only day of Saturday the 1st is counted as a week then the body follows the engine by only two to three days . Does this sound correct? and does it sound like a matching block to the car ?

A= first work week. If sat. was on the first as you stated. "A" would be the 1st,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th,8th, So that could be legit. Check the con-vin on the engine block and pay close attention to the pad for signs of resurfacing and restamping.

And remember, the cowl tag date is when they started tio build the body, not when the car was assembled. There are Camaros that exist that are documented, that the engine assembly date is like May 1st, and the cowl tag is 04E. This is possible sometimes from having 5 week months like April 1969 was.
This car should have the partial VIN stamped down by the oil filter, so there should be no hanky panky with the numbers. The partial VIN should NOT be stamped on the same pad with the Tonawanda date and code stamp.
They were turning out the cars in volumes at that time of the year, so date codes should be pretty close to the date of the car. I would look for the VIN stamp on the block to verify the numbers match. I'm sure since it is an X66 bog block car, that it probably isn't cheap. I would want to be sure.
