Since my Pro street is far from original I thought I might go with the fuzzy style carpet. Has anyone done this with a kit or had it special ordered before?

Yes, ACS/DORSETT makes it in cut pyle.

Rockauto sells it.

JC Whitney has it, molded, cut pile, says made by Trim Parts. I think one of the other Chevelle suppliers might have it (OPG, maybe?).

I used the standard 800 series cut pyle in an 86 Trans Am and was pleased with it. It was comparable in thickness or plushness to your typical auto carpet in todays cars. If you're wanting a plusher carpet, then go with the Essex.

I took pictures of the carpet I installed in my TA. If interested in seeing them let me know.
