Looking at a used truck (upgrade from my 1/2 ton Dodge). Found a pretty nice 2004. Clean truck.

Anyone with comments? I want to pull an enclosed 24 ft trailer (with car total weight less then 10000 lbs (more like 9000))

Comments?

Reliability?

Power?

It has ~70K miles on it. I'm surprised it's not turbo charged???

thanks.

mine is turbo charged and it is great. More than enough power I pull a 15000 lb boat (dually) you need to worry about stopping.

Thanks guys. You are right, it is a turbo. The trailer has electric brakes, but I will still be careful.....

It's a pretty nice truck. Even has sat radio. I think it will work fine. Wonder what the fuel milage will be??

16-20 would be my guess

I have a 04, pulling the car trailer, get about 14-17, just the truck 18-20. It makes a big difference at what speed I drive. I have driven it 55-60, and got over 20, and if you drive it 75 it is 17-18, still a lot better than when I had a gas truck.

Wow, that's much better then I anticipated. I have (had) a dodge 1500 with a small V8 and got about 16 avg and that's with my cold air intake and driving reasonably.

If I can get that good of milage pulling a trailer, I will be very happy.

:hurray:

Thanks for the replys.
