Just purchased a zz502 for my 69 chevelle. The oil pan don't look like it will clear the crossmember. Anyone have know who makes a pan for this engine to fit a 69 chevelle? What about headers? I had headers on the 396 i took out of the car should they be o.k. Any other unforseen problems i might run into? Looking forward to hearing from the TEAM! Also looking foreward to hearing from the beastly 502.......

You're correct on the oil pan.
You'll need GM #12495360 kit or an aftermarket equivalent to fit the 502 into the Chevelle chassis.
Headers should fit fine.

Be aware that Milodon makes one(30955), but there have been several of us who have had problems with steering linkage banging into the pan due to it's lack of factory indentations. It will work, it is just a headache.

My guess is the headers won't be fine, as is. They will need to be clearanced at the flange. The standard BB headers aren't designed to clear the 502 taller head bolts.
trimmed headers (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/mild68ss/trimheaders.jpg)
My sugggestion is to fit the headers to the motor on a stand and trim as neccasary.
