If it wasn't for these forums I have no ideas where I would find the right info. Another question.
Is there an upper alternator bracket available to clear the tall valve covers on a big block? I have a 396 that will not accomodate the alternator with the stock bracket with those tall covers. Do I just have an extra inch fabricated on the end of the stock or is there a better alternative?

I used a low mount bracket on my 67 from Alan Grove.

Alan Grove Components has never let me down. I use their alternator bracket for my 66 with tall covers on driver side. They are well engineered and very helpful on the phone.
