A friend just picked up a used old Holley double pumper and we are looking for some help identifying it. The choke horn is milled off the main body so there's no list number to look up. Here's the only real clue I have, it's a spread bore with tiny little primaries and huge secondaries, yes it's a double pumper and has a 50cc accl pump on the sec side. Though it's in nice shape it looks very old. The linkage isn't chevy so maybe something for a ford or mopar, I don't know. Any help is appreciated thanks,

Sounds like a 6211.
Any numbers anywhere on it?

It's either a 650 or 800cfm unit, depending on the venturi size.

There are several 4165 series carbs simular to what you described. Most were direct QJet replacements for specific years and engines and fit stock air cleaners , chokes , fuel inlets , linkages ect.
The popular Chevy ones are:
0-6210
650 CFM 4165 mech sec 1965-1970 327,350,396,402 eng
divorced choke. Emmissions carb.
0-6211
800 CFM 4165 mech sec 1965-1970 427 ,454 engine divorced choke side inlet.Non Emmission carb.
0-6212
800 CFM 4165 mech sec Competition replacement non emmission dual feed bowls.
0-6213
800 CFM 4165 mech sec Hi Perf direct str replacement for 1965-1970 427-454 non emmission carb with dual feed bowls.
I'm trying to remember but I think the old carbs at least had the " overhead roller " type linkage and the 800 CFMer had really large long secondary booters... where as the 650 CFM carbs had a cast in more traditional looking secondary booster.

the old carbs at least had the " overhead roller " type linkage I wish we could post pics here; I have a 6211, which does in fact have that type of linkage. They discontinued it and went to the type that works somewhat more like a Q-Jet, with the -1 version I think. Seems like the early 6210s had the roller too.

Thanks for the help guys, I don't have the carb in front of me but can't help but remember the huge sec boosters. It's a dual inlet carb also. I'm leaning toward it being a 800 cfm which could be 6211 - 6213. I may get to see it again today... Looking at the Holley chart http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/CarbList.pdf it looks like sec venturi size is the only diff in the 650 and 800. I think we have enough to get a rebuild kit for it now. Thanks again...
