I have always removed the front and rear sway bars on my street/strip cars. of course i did it without ever doing any a-b-a testing. has anyone actually tried installing sway bars on a twisting a-body and improved traction? mike

At my power level I've seen no improvement with or without a rear swaybar, with or without a front swaybar, I don't like driving around town with the front swaybar removed.

My son's car has had both and it runs and bites better without them. An anti-roll devise mounted above the axle housing and acting like a torsion bar does help eliminate the body roll though. Air bags also didn't help when we got a lot of power.

No difference with or without the front swaybar at the track. Same 1.7xx 60fts either way.

I keep it installed so the car is not so lame on the street. I might even try a bigger one & see if I can improve the street handling & not harm the 60ft.

Never had a rear bar. Put the front one back on and did not see it slow down, so it will stay on.
