Ok so today I decided to finally do something about my rust problem on the trunk lid of my car. In no way do I condone doing this to restore a chevelle, but for what I am currently using the car for(racing). And not having the available time or money to have someone fix the car the right way. This is what I decided to do for now. Next I will tackle the quarter panels and see what we can do with them.

I think you can Braze small rust holes closed too, looks good to me. Even harder to see while doing 12's at the strip!

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Now its a 10 footer as apposed to a 40 haha. Next im gona try some quarter panel work on it, just trying to make it look a little respectable.

I have a cage going in this winter along with redoing the interior. By the way does anyone know a ballpark figure on having someone do a headliner?

I'll call my interior guy tomorrow.....but he's down here Steilacoom/Lakewood area. He did the install on RatVette's interior and he just did a neighbor's 69 Camaro RamJet350/6-spd.

Brian~
The trunk lid turned out good to go.

I need to purchase another Chevelle to make it a drag racer only.

The headliner is only going to add weight. If you are making it ready then don't worry about the headliner. =)

Did you get a new distributor and how did it go?
