Got a few quick question -
1972 Sprint, 350 .02 over, pretty free breathing with a edelbrock manifold and 750 cfm carb - exhaust is stock manifolds with 2 or 2&1/4 pipes with decent thrush turbo's - th400 auto, power steering&drum brakes, just heater.

I would like 2 effects - increased flow/performance, and a change in tone - right now its loud enough, but I would like slightly deeper tones if possible, as well as quieter in the cab (will be gutting and re-insulating the 30 yr old interior, which will make a difference I'm sure.

which headers&muffler would be best for this? I'm rather tight on the cash because of other 'neccessary' projects but would still like to spend some time, at the veryleast on headers.

Forgot - X-pipe/H-pipe : does it fit and would it help me much/be worth the cost?

I like the Dynomax coated headers,2.5-3" pipes,and either the X or H pipe. I'm running headers,H pipe,and 3" pipe, it all fits fine.
