Has anyone ever heard of Excelerator mufflers? If so, how do they stack up against better known brands, and who makes them?

I think they are made by Goerlich.

Go there and scroll down til you get to them. They have prices and sound clips.

John they are indeed made by Goerlich and are a pretty decent muffler depending on how much noise you want to make.

I bought a pair of their 19inch long Race mufflers that had a straight through design (similar to DYNOMAX) with a X pipe exhaust kit from PYPIPES. They mufflers were fully welded and had a great sound but a bit too loud for my taste. I loved them at the track, it had a real unique sound with the X-pipe, sounded like the motor was running about 3,000 rpm higher than it really was.

I ended up switching Dynomax HEMI turbo mufflers to get my wife and kids to ride in the car with me on a regular basis :D . It takes a pretty big muffler to quiet down a 3 inch exhaust. By the way my Goerlichs are up for sale if you are in the market for 3 inch muffs.

Thanks for the replies! Great informastion and a big help. I had never heard of these mufflers until a local exhaust shop mentioned that they install and recommend them. This gives me a point of reference. Thanks again.
