There's been numerous threads regarding declining percentages of zinc in motor oils and oil treatments. STP Oil Treatement in the RED bottle has been mentioned frequently along with the possibility of it being discontinued. I've found a local parts store that still carries it and would like to stock up before it disappears completely. When inquiring over the phone, I'm told that the red bottle is identified as being for 4 cylinder engines. Is this the right stuff that I'm looking for?

If I remember right, back when STP came out with the red bottle stuff if was advertised to be specially formulated for the 4cyl engines because they operated at higher rpm's and ran at hotter temperatures.:)
