I will be switching gears in my 8.2 10 bolt tomorrow. It currently has 3.36's, I am installing 4.11's. I have an install kit with bearings, crush sleeve, etc. Will this fit with the carrier that is in there now? Also any other info. or suggestions would be appreciated. I have a guy helping me who has done gear swaps before. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything important before we get it apart.
Thanks,
Rich

Rich, gonna hit the track right away after the swap? Bet that will give you the edge your looking for.
I'm actually gonna send my rear to BGH for some gears and posi rebuild.

Probably as soon as I get them broken in. My buddy's 64 chevy II is finally ready to make a couple of passes so it is almost race time...

The 8.2 10 bolt only has a 2 and 3 series, so all 4 series gears fit the 3 series differential, which means that yes, it will work. The installation kit should have everything in it that you will need. If you need help reading the contact pattern let me know.
