I've been wanting to make a few runs at MIR to see what the car will do at a sea level track. I'd like to test-n-tune to try a few things out before winter hits. It looks like October 26th is the closest weekend date to try and run there.

Anyone here interested in racing & towing together from northern Maryland? I'm in Westminster, which is in Northern Carroll County.

10SECBU, although I can only offer you moral support (in the form of a cold beer) from Waldorf MD, I would love to see your car run at MIR. I am heading down there again this friday for mid-night madness and again on 26 October.

I am finally getting some much needed BFG Drag Radials put on the car thursday, so I will be hunting down some 11 sec time slips Friday.

Seriously, let me know if you need anything from this end of Maryland to make your trip easier.

A friend of mine will be down there at the Ford event running his NSS '67 Fairlane that runs 10.0's on 9" slicks, N/A at something like 3500 lbs. He's hoping to finally break into the 9's at this event.

Chris,

If we both make it to the event, feel free to stop by and say "hello". I'm hoping the plans work out...got one or two friends here that might tag along either with or without their cars.

10SECBU, sounds good. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your car run if you can get down here.

Bill, the motor seems to be running much better after going through the carb and ignition but not sure that I actually fixed anything. At least it will at least idle in gear now. The valve lash seems to be holding strong (after the 7th or 8th setting)and I now have about 700 miles and 25 1/4 mile passes on the combo so far. Still a lot of tuning to do. I am hoping the drag radials will help me cut the 60ft times I need to get this daily driver into the 11's.

I will try to bring it by your place soon.
