I hope it's a go this time. I was ready to buy tickets a few months ago when the whole thing came to a halt. If it does happen this time I will be right next next to the stage cheering on the best rock band of all time.

Hopefully Eddie pull's His head outta You know where, and get Micheal back on board. Loved His bass solo/JD chugging right into Running with the Devil.:hurray:

Eddie's been through rehab and is totally ready but Michael's sticking with Sammy and the VH bassist is going to Eddie's son, Wolfgang.

I thought I heard it was going to be a Sammy Haagar concert and not a Van Halen concert. I could be completely wrong, just what I heard on the local radio yesterday. Either way it will rock. I have seen Sammy Haggar and the waboritas more times than I can count and I have seen Van Halen 4-5 times as well, both with David Lee Roth and Sammy Haggar up front. They put on an incredible concert no matter what, although I much prefer Sammy Haggar's voice to David Lee Roth's. When Sammy joined Van Halen, their best music was produced, much faster tempo and such.

I WORSHIP George Lynch!!!! Anyway, Michael Anthony was a HUGE part of the VH vocals. They can get anybody to play those bass lines, but his vocals will be missed!

Won't argue that Eddie can (or could) roast on the guitar, man had skills. Hope he's still able to play well.

I'd see them with David Lee or Sammy in the front. That third guy they used, Gary something??? Bah!

That would be Gary Sharone. He was in a local Boston Band the DREAM then they Changed the Name to Extreme. I liked their music Just to bad the song they are mosted noted for... Is More Than Words. Saw Van Halen in 79 one of the best concerts I have seen

I would have to vote for DLR, and I know I will catch some ***** for this but I think Eddie is over rated. There are many , many other guitarist that are better. IMO. He was the first to do alot of things, but others have passed him by.

Lotsa great info here: http://www.vanhalen.com/ Dave or Sammy - dosen't matter to me - I like 'em both! I've seen VH w/ Sammy many times. Never seen 'em with Dave; I'm too young (39)! But like Sammy said: "They owe it to the fans to do a reunion tour with Dave". Whatta guy! I'm still not holding my breath though; I'll buy my ticket, go to the concert & THEN believe it only when they walk out on stage!! (and probably fight!!) And yes, there is no replacement for Mikey's vocals...

I'm just the opposite, I think it was more rock with DLR. It seemed they became soft with Hagar. Although i've heard DLR recently, he just doesn't have the voice anymore.

I'll take the DLR version any day, but any concert would be great.

And Gary Cherone is a great singer...just not for Van Halen. Extreme put out
some awesome records. Too bad that got lumped in with all the other hair metal cause they were much better than most...

With VH being my favorite band since high school and all these rumors flying around, all I've gotta say is -- I'll believe it when I see it! But I really would love to see it!!! Almost 30 VH concerts ring in my ears and I hope I'm not done yet! 64elkynss

Van Halen without Michael Anthony is just wrong IMHO.

I concur; Mikey's been there since the beginning -- let little Wolfie start his own band.

BTW: the Who, in their prime concert years 1969-1973 woulda blown VH off
the stage and the planet .
