I installed a stainless steel 3" mandrel bent exhaust system to my 498 cu-in BB 70 Chevelle. I used 50 series flowmasters on the set up. Even with my 650 lbs and 680 hp, I still noticed that my throttle response and bottom end softened up slightly. My mid range and top end is significantly improved and now feels like my engine can breathe. Is there anything I can do to have the best of both worlds i.e "X" pipe or "H" pipe? I would appreciate it very much if others with this type of set up could share there experience.
