Help

Just bought a nice used BG Speed Demon 850 carb from a guy off the internet. It's in great shape - seems ok. I took it apart to check the jets, power valve, gaskets, etc.

The power valve seemed like the right one - 6.5

However, the primary jets were # 72 and the secondary jets were # 85.

I went to the BG website and the spec chart said the primary jets should be #85 and the secondary jets should be #93 (factory stock).

can anybody confirm that?

Should I change them to the factory jet sizes or leave them?

I am running a 468 BBC on the street. It has 10:1 compression, long duration cam, dual plane intake, 3000 stall converter, 2" headers, etc.

thanks

put the jets in it that are supposed to be in it per the manufacturer. The ones in there are about 10 sizes too small. If you put it back like it's supposed to be at least you'll have a known baseline to start with.

I would put the stock jetting 85 primary 93 secondary go from there.
