I had my heads ported and angle milled about 2 years ago. Since I am going to bump the compression up to 13.5 I figured I should CC the heads to get an accurate measurment for the pistons. Remeber these heads (stock) are supposed to be 110 cc chambers. Porting them will open that up, but we then angle milled them to bring the compression back up. I assumed I had a 108 cc chamber.

1 120.0 2 120.9
3 118.5 4 119.8
5 119.3 6 120.0
7 120.5 8 119.4

Boy was I surprised !! The 10.7 to 1 compression I thought I had was actually in the ballpark of 9.7 or so Considering a cam that is 255 at .050 the motor still made great power: 500 at the wheels and it went 124 mph in the 1/4. I wonder what it would have done with the compression I thought it had. It will be a certain 13.5 with the new pistons.

The project is coming along....slowly. We got the backhalf and will start cutting the car up soon. Fitting a 15x33 tire under this car and still have it look decent is going to be a challenge. I hope to be at the track with about 1000-1050 hp and a race weight of under 3000 lbs (with me in it) by March. The goal is a 2500 lbs car after the exstensive diet.

 It almost appears the machinist never actually angle milled the heads the first time or he hogged the chambers out like a madman  .

Ya, or they are more than 110cc's out of the factory
