I am getting to the point where I need to buy a vinyl top for my 1970 SS396 Elcamino. I have looked around a bit and found a few but I would like to hear some feedback. Is there one with the a pillar strips pre-bonded? Any replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks

I got mine from Ground Up, the pillars were already on it. Very pleased with quality and appearance. I installed it myself and it wasn't bad at all.

Dave,

I got mine from SMS Auto Fabrics. I'm pleased. They'll send you a sample, if you'd like and color match too. They looks exactly like my originals from my '70 and '67. I think they're a bit more than others.

Do yourself a favor and ask SMS if ACME is going to sew your top for them, then go to ACME to save yourself some money and knock out the middle man. I think OPG sells ACME tops and maybe cheaper than ACME.

I love getting the inside scoop on stuff. I guess I'll call OPG and see what they have to say.
