My machinist says he can get me a good deal on an Eagle BBC 4" stroke 4340 non twist crank for my new build. How do these pieces compare to a Scat, Callies and GM forgings?

I have had good luck with them . As always some one may disagree but My current engine has a 4.25" 4340 eagle crank and h-beam rods and have turned it over 8000 rpm often and have never had a problem. I just pulled it down to inspect everything and it all looked very good not even any signs of bearing wear or deformity.I guess it has alot to do with a good balance job and proper clearancing. buy the way lastweekend out I went a best of 6.34 @ 109.3 in the 1/8th
w/ a 1.381 60ft. time on 4 yr. old hoosier quick time pros. that are completly worn out. anyway I am very happy w/ all of the eagle products and will continue to use them.

Rons70ss...I can`t find your setup when I did a search.
Would you mind posting more info.
Very impressive sounding.

Epistuf..going against the grain here, but, eagle doesn`t seem to have as good a reputation or track record as does Scat.
Especially the cranks btw.
I`d go with a lightened, contoured Scat. Check Flatlander.com
Pretty decent priceing particularly on the kits, you can mix and match as you wish.
