I'm replacing my stock type fuel pump that has a connection for rubber hose on the inlet and then the outlet is threaded for 3/8th pipe I believe, and from there I have hardline that goes up and connects to dual feed line with a small rubber piece.
I just bought a new fuel pump that has 1/4 NPT inlet and outlet fittings. I'm clueless as to how to get this to work. I suck with fittings, looked at a hardware store and found what I would think would work on the inlet side(1/4th to 3/8th barbed) but it says MPT, not NPT so I don't know what the heck that means. Can anyone help me out on how to get this thing plumbed? I would like to retain my hardline coming out of the pump now as it is perfectly bent. Some kind of adapter required? Is this auto zone stuff or like plumbing at a hardware type stuff?
Thanks for the help.
