"Robert Hunter very likely is going to get the win..............Oh, and here comes Robbie McEwen!!!!!!"

One of the best wins I've seen in the TdF. McEwen gets hit by another bike while waiting for another crash to get sorted out, flipped clean over the handlebars, with under 20 miles to go. Gets back on and chases the peloton down. Then out of nowhere he comes right up the middle and grabs the win. Big Tom Boonen and Thor Hushovd had no idea that was coming.

If the sprinters have small block chevy's for legs, then Robbie McEwen must have himself a 572 for legs, man that guy can sprint!!!!

Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McEwen is an awesome sprinter. Sprinters are a breed apart. They have patience, nerves of steel, and fast twitch muscle fiber (LOL something I lacked when I raced years ago). They place themselves in the right place at the right time and have great team members to lead them out. I love the sprinter stages bigtime! Those guys can rip-n-hammer!

Very impressive! But I gotta admit, it was the only interesting part of the stage. Those flat stages are like watching paint dry for the most part

Completely agree. I figure I will sit thru 3 1/2 hours of boring to get to an extremely exciting finish though. The only part of the sprinting stages is the finish. Today is another very flat stage.

This is why they invented the DVR - 3 hrs of TdF becomes about 30 min of tv watching. By the time you FF thru the zillion commercials (did you know SAAB was born of jets? ), you're down to 1.5 hrs already
