Some of the people suggested I ask you if there was a cam that you have or designed that would fit my setup. I was looking for a Solid Roller cam and springs.

Here is my setup.

383 9.5:1 CR
World Sportsman II heads
3:55 rear end gears
using Holley Projection 4d TBI with a Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold
Full length headers

looking for power from idle to 5500 if possible, if not 2000 to 6000, I will get a stall converter depending on what the cam needs.

I hope I included everything you need.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Joe

Joe,

I'd use the Lunati 501B1LUN, it's 278/285 at .020, 242/249 at .050, .556/.556 gross valve lift, and 112 LSA. It will have a good idle--a little lope-- and may make enough vacuum for power brakes. BHP? Remember the Cover of Car Craft where they had a 195AFR-headed 383 making 540 BHP? Well, the 278/285R10 makes about 30-40 MORE BHP than the cam they used...... I personally rate the engine about 475 BHP at 6200, but then, that's me.....
I generally recommend a 2400-2500 Stall converter.
