I found a brand new Eaton posi for $350, seems like a good deal. Just wondering why Summit is charging $460?

I'm going with this versus rebuilding my old one. I can sell the old one and have it cost about the same for a brand new one. Way more advantages of going to the forged pieces and all new vs. old cast pieces in the OEM carrier.

Seems like a no braniner.....

That price is below wholesale for most of us , so check it closely for proper fit to your application ,ie,spline count, gear ratio series .They all look alike out of the box to the untrained eye , plus you may have no warantee .That in itself may not be a big deal,as they seem to be very reliable.

Dunno if same people or not...

In 2005 I paid $337.50 from Power Train Truck and Auto Parts in Bohemia NY, a.k.a. www.rearendparts.com, 631-589-7020.

Hmmm, looks like their price has gone slightly ;-)

They can also set you up with axles and all the bearings and seals and shim kit.

Cool, I already ordered it. I picked up some Superior axles which look much stronger than the stock ones. I was thinking of going to 33 spline, but just went ahead with the stock 30 spline. I think they can hold up to enough power.
