A new Dilema! :D Theres been alot of current information on 454/496 builds. I really want to build one. BUT I wouldnt mind buying a near complete 540, I can get a decent deal on one. Would it be a little too much for a nearly daily driver? A 496 seems to be right in the middle smile.gif

Why don't you look into building a standard deck height 588" that has a 4.625" b x 4.375" s and custom, about 6.44" long, rods and needed pistons??????

The 4.375" crank will still fit in a standard deck height block fine, imho...
