Hi, I have a 67 Chevelle SS that I'm restoring and was wondering if anybody knows how to change the seat belt buckles. I took them to an upohlestery shop and he took one of the belts off the standard buckle but can't get it fed back thru the deluxe buckle. Does anyone know how to do it, or is there a seat belt guy out there that I can send them to, to get these changed? I have 4 total.
Thanks,

I believe all you need to do is remove the covers and buttons and change them to deluxe covers and buttons.

That is correct, but you have to feed them back thru the buckle, and to do this you must remove the stitches and resowe the belt which is a very heavy material. I'm sure there is a simple trick to taking the buckle apart but not sure how to do it, and don't want to damage them. I've called Hinshaws and they can change them out.

That is true if your dealing with Black interior, but Deluxe Belt webbing is interior color.

Do you have a telephone number for James? I need to get all my belts re-webbed.
Thanks.
