Hey guys,

I need a few opinions...

I have a 66 Chevelle Malibu, It came with the rocker moldings on it and they are not in the best shape. I had mine polished and what was supposed to me fixed. Well they are shinier than they were but still don't look so great.

Anyway the car is going through a frame off rotisserie redo. It’s not going to be stock but done nicely the way I want it. All of the other pieces of chrome are in great shape and I just don't want the rockers to be the worst part of the car.

The body is going to have all of the chrome on it that it came from the factory with but I am not sure how these so called polished/fixed rockers are going to look on it.

I had a chance to buy a NOS set at $350 and got cheap and passed what a mistake that was, it cost me nearly half that to get mine sort of fixed lol.

So here are my questions...

To make a clean rocker area should I put on SS rockers because they repop them?

Does anyone have any pics of a 66 that has all the chrome on it EXCEPT the rocker moldings?

Does anyone have any pics of a Malibu with SS rocker moldings on it?

Does anyone have a decent set or Malibu rocker they don't need?

Any opinions are welcome, I know it’s probably not a huge deal but it's been bugging me so I figure I might as well ask a few experts.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story

I have never really cared for the rocker or wheel trim and I have actually removed it from both my son's 65 and my 66 SS. I often get razed that it isn't a real SS because it lacks the rocker moldings.........Oh well I did it like I wanted it.
