I picked up my car from the paint shop on Friday. Well I was underneath it this morning and I noticed that he welded in the gas tank straps backwards when he replaced the trunk. were the tank bolts to . Is this going to cause me a large problem, or will it be alright?

he put the braces in backwards??? good god.

If I remember right, the rear of the tank is fatter then the front. Which means You'd have to mount the tank backward's, which obviously won't work. I dunno, doesn't sound good.

Welded in the straps?!? those are supposed to be removable so the tank can be dropped!! Sounds like those fly by night exhaust emporiums that
go crazy welding studs and brackets to your frame.

Take it back, he will fix it, not your problem.

i replace my trunkpan and braces and i can`t imagine how he did it .braces will only go in one way. i would say bring it back

Not the straps, the actual Braces.

edit: I talked to him and he is going to fix it, real nice and appoligetic. I can't complain about the paint job. Just some of these "small" problems.
