Hey! I'm new to this, but this is a test and hopefully, I can get some info on the exact measurements for the "SS" emblems that go on the fenders on the 70-72 chevelle. I brought a manual but it doesn't give me what I want in inches. My name is Phil from Seattle, I an in the process for restoring a 71. It was painted and it's in the final stages of reassemb. I don't have pictures cause the car is several miles away.

Phil, I am so glad you taking the time to put the emblems in the right spot, I can't believe the amount of people who put them in the wrong spot. Not long ago I noticed a 69 Chevelle on the cover of Super Chevy with the ss fender emblems in the wrong place. I also checked the assembly manual and it does not really help. I found a set of junk original 69 SS fenders and used them as a template. It worked great and no holes in the wrong place. I bet you could find some on ebay or I imagine someone in this forum has some and would trace them for you. If anyone needs them for a 69 I would gladly trace them then see the emblems in the wrong spot. Brian

I have them for a 69. I dont know if a 70 is the same?

The holes would be the same pattern but fender location is not the same. Brian
