I dont know if anyone looks on the classifieds, but after trying to sell the '66 buckets I had done a while ago. I just bit the bullet and installed the brackets and set one seat in the el camino tonight. I can say Im actually looking forward to driving it tomorrow! One word of warning, When welding, the dry jute padding will catch fire! No I do not drink, I thought I could work around it, I was wrong. No damage, just a little flame. I kept a wet sponge next to me just in case.
If anyone trys to talk you into the 2 piece brackets, do yourself a favor and get the 4 piece brackets, I trial fitted the seats to the outside and it does hit the seatbelt retractors. I measured everything off my other bucket seat el camino. I looks like I actually got it right. Will find out wed. Since I didn't get the 4 piece kit for the brackets, Im just going to get some grade 8 bolts and big fender washers for the front outside leg of the buckets. Jim
