I was looking at a pair of Flowmaster scavenger collectors on page 14 of the new Jegs catalog. I'm interested in the 1 5/8" with the 2 3/4" outlet. If this collector was run, would it be better to run a 2 1/2" head pipe or a 3" head pipe? If you were to run a 2 1/2" pipe, would you just slide a 3" to 2 1/2" reducer cone as far forward as it would go, and weld it up? TIA Wes

I would swedge the end of the collector up to adapt to a 3" head pipe until you get to your crossover pipe.

onovakind67, thanks for the reply. Because of the car's X frame, I'd probably have to use oval tubing and run the exhaust under the frame until it clears the frame's X. From there, I could probably run a 3" to 2 1/2" X, and 2 1/2" over the rear. Wes
