I got the wagon running last night after a day of little surprises it had in store for me. You know the typical stuff you run into when you’re putting a hotrod back together. Well she finally came to life and for the short period I got to drive the car it felt VERY STONG!!! And then nothing...It quit running, no light's no nothing. I'm thinking the horn relay took a crap since it's the main feed for all of the accessories. I had to call my buddy back at the garage and have him tow me back and by that time it was 11:30 and the Mrs. was READY TO GO!!! I'll get back down there today and see if I can figure it out. I don't think the horn relay going out will do that. IIRC, one of the screw terminals is used as a junction but the relay itself is not in the curcuit.

There is a fusible link in the small ga wire on the positive battery cable that goes to the terminal block on the core support. I'd check that line first, if it fails you have no power to the main fuse panel.

I got the wagon up and running today. It ended up being a wire that runs through the firewall from a junction block mounted on the firewall just right and above of the master cylinder as you're facing the car. I got to tool her around a little bit today and all I can say is....I need bigger tires on the back of this thing. I only have a set of 255x70x15s on the back of her and that ain't going be no where near enough.

You all have heard about those 500 to 600 feet burn outs.... Well this thing in first and second gear is like driving on a snow pack.(I know you southern guys don't know what this means..But it means very slick ;) ) It's very impressive to lay down that kind of black marks, but she ain't going no where.

Everything else went very well other than a tranny leak at the lines leading up to the tranny and a header leak  . I changed the oil over to Mobile 1 and tooled her around a little more and then the thunder storm's rolled in and so much for the fun. I'll keep you all up dated on her progress....Stay Tuned

I just got home from a cruse in about 25 miles away and the car performed flawlessly. Idles at 950 RPMs and seems to be very mannerly. The 4.11s make it a little much for prolonged highway driving but overall she did very well.

I got a lot of questions about her but I guess that's because you don't see many of these pups around.

Next is the interior. I found a place called 65 Central that has door panels for a 65 two door wagon in the Malibu trim but I really don't care about that. Are any of you familiar with this outfit? I have the original seat covers and carpet and I have a line on the dash pad and headliner. I'll keep you all updated...Stay Tuned
