i recently got an original parts group catalog and they are selling holley air filters that look like the tops of dragsters with the 3 butterfly openings and stuff. ive always liked that look but i dont have the G's to put a blown engine. i have a stock 396 in my 68 chevelle but i will eventually put a 454 in it with a high rise edelbrock intake manifold. could i put the air filter on my engine??

We dynoed a 460 Ford that had one of those butterfly air cleaners with the linkage that opens the butterflys in conjunction with the throttle linkage. It cost him about 20 hp to run that air cleaner.
