Thanks.

I searched before asking and a lot of people were having no luck with fitting theDynomax headers on BB cars - nice to see that's not the case on the SB.

Well, after more searching TC I ordered some Hedman P/N 68290 for my son's car. His birthday is next Monday. Seems like the Hedman's may give the most ground clearance. I know the Hooker Comps on my Monte Carlo are the low point, one in particular.

I had no idea that the same P/N spanned so many years, which I why I asked in the first place.

If you want a near-perfect fit (no tweaking required) and don't mind spending the extra dough, Doug's 3/4 length headers are the BEST fit I have found. I was talked into a set of custom made headers (not lemons - these were welded up one tube at a time with the car) on my '67 because of all the banging and cutting to get others to fit (hedman, hooker, dynomax - tried 'em all). The theory was that the custom full length headers would peform and "sound better". No noticeable difference between these new headers and the set of Doug's I last used. the Doug's were 1.875 tubes, perfect fit, and the exhaust simply had to be extended and curved up to meet the collector which exited right above the floorpan curve. I'm going back to Doug's as soon as get the new front serpentine figured out - which is my latest snafu as the car was returned without any oil in the compressor which promptly seized....
