i have a rochester quadjet 4MV on my SS396 and i want to know how can i find out what the CFM of the carb is. i looked in the manual but it doesnt say much about the carburetors, it just says what carb came with what engine.

The numbers on the carb will tell you what it is and where it was used

Most QJ flow around 750 cfm. There are smaller ones, and larger ones. The largers ones have very little, if any, taper in the primary bores. Yours is most likely a 750 cfm version.
