: Hello, New guy from MD
Real65SS Jun 30th, 07, 9:55 AM Hello all, Just joined and am a new Chevelle owner. I just bought, I mean like JUST BOUGHT and will trailer home today my new to me 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS original 138 Code car. The car was restored several years ago. It is in great shape. The paint has a couple chips here and there, the console needs to be replaced and the instrument cluster bezel needs to be replaced. Over all it is a sweet car. Has a built 1970's 350 turbo 350 trans with a 2800 converter and shift kit. I am thinking about removing the busted stock console and stock shifter and replacing it with a B&M Maga Shifter. I am also comsidering replacing the gauge bezel with a aluminum Bezel from Summit with all Autometer gauges.
Here's some pics at the seller house.

oktunes Jun 30th, 07, 11:38 AM Great car, I saw that one on Ebay. I watch all the 65's comparing them to the car I bought a few months ago. Looks like you got a really nice car and won't have to do any major tear down and re-build. I love the 65's and prefer the small block like you have.
I noticed this morning that the red 65 SS 327 4 spd sold last night for $28.5, it looked a like super original car. http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2090383095

Yeah this car was on ebay. I originally found it on racingjunk.com. I went and looked at it, made them an offer that was less than thier ebay reserve and they took it. I put down a $500 dollar deposit Thursday just to get them to hold the car and remove it from ebay til I could get there on the weekend to pick it up. That would be today..:hurray: It need a few things fixed and changed to my liking but over all i think I did good for what these cars are selling for.
Here is the ebay link that was ended early.

70chevelle.ss396 Jun 30th, 07, 8:45 PM Welcome from the Baltimore area Scott. Hope to run into ya some day and see the ride.
Real65SS Jun 30th, 07, 10:05 PM Thanx Guys, Just got home with the Chevelle. It needs a little help but over all it seems pretty nice. First thing is a power steering pump install. The car has a pwer steering box and no pump. The hose it just looped from the outlet to the box inlet. Hard as hell to turn.
Augustboy2009 Jun 30th, 07, 10:16 PM Welcome, I've spent a lot of time in Chesapeake Beach, MD.
Scott, where is the cruise night held now? I passed by the Safeway shopping center yesterday around 6:00 pm and no one was there. Did they move?
There is also a night cruise on Wednesday night in Leonardtown on rt 5 right before you turn to 234. It's held at Arbys. Some times they have music and they get about 30-50 cars on a good day. I went up to Carlisle with Tim this last spring, but have not seen him at the cruise nights. Hope one day we can get together and meet.

Real65SS Jul 2nd, 07, 2:18 PM Thanx for the great welcome guys. Yeah my Malibu is not running right now. I started undoing some of the trashy wireing they did on the car yesterday. You know how that goes. It just lead into other things. I ordered $900 worth of parts today from Summit. Redoing all the gauges, new instrument bezel, etc... should be ready in a week or so.
00WS6TA Jul 2nd, 07, 4:14 PM Scott,
I haven't read every post, but somewhere I thought I saw what is TC? TC = Team Chevelle.

oldtimebaseballfan Jul 8th, 07, 9:24 PM Hello and welcome Scott. Glad to see a new member from Maryland. Especially in good ole Calvert County. I'm in Sunderland and I do go to Prince Frederick on Saturday evenings when I'm in town.
Lately I've been gone to the Chevell-abration in Tenn. and the North East Show and O.C., so I haven't been around for the last several Saturdays.
I'll look forward to meeting you. Luis is right, you should look into the Maryland chevelle Club. Lots of activities, shows, parties and lots of good people with knowledge about these cars.
chevguy65 Jul 9th, 07, 8:42 AM Good to see yet another 65 owner!!!!!
