Just double up on them, run Q16 and S/P, lol! Actually there were a few times I did that. And the funnier thing was that I used the throttle stop to S/P it, and killed a bunch of et but not much mph, so they had fits with me. All I had to do was to remember to not run the stop for the fast stuff though! Nice job, it is good to start the season with a win, keep it up. :D

I was down there in 91 for Moroso, and ran the first four days. Did not do too bad, and got down to around 10 cars one of the nights, and was somewhere around 20th in points. The 4th night was real late, I went out at well after 1 am, so I skipped the last day and slept in, lol. Took off mid-afternoon for Bradenton, got there and stayed overnight and ran one day there before coming home. A pal who was a partner in the car for a couple years before I bought his half out had access to his folk's condo in Pompano Beach, right on the water at the Hillsboro Inlet, across from the lighthouse. Pretty nice change of pace for me to sleep with the windows open in late November, lol. Too bad I had to come home to reality! Oh, it was the only racetrack I have ever been to (Moroso) where we saw alligators all over, and one night I dodged a coral snake crossing the return road. I heard the next year a guy got bit by a water moccasin in the pits too. No thanks!!!

7.59..... 173 mph

I've been dreaming of the day I can run 7.59 in the 1/8th mile at my local track here west of Houston.

That's a killer run and congratulations on some great driving graemlins/thumbsup.gif

WOW! Those are some unbelievable timeslips. Hey, small world, I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, actually Dania, for 6 years, now I'm on the other coast in Cape Coral (almost directly west from Ft. Lauderdale, a little bit north) but I often go over to the east coast to visit. Where is moroso at, I've never heard of it before?? Maybe I could go there and lay down some 7s too ;) lol

BTW,
You going to super chevy in Bradenton next month? Maybe I could see some of those 7 second passes for real :D

Moroso Motorsports is about 10 miles west of Riviera Beach, which is on the north side of West Palm Beach. I think you go west off of I95 on a road called Bee Line Highway maybe? I can't remember...it's been a few years. The track is perfectly situated because it's right across the road from a Pratt & Whitney aircraft engine facility, so they can make all the noise they want 24/7...or at least that's how it was when I lived down there. No curfew or noise restrictions.

Looks like the Moroso Web server crashed today or a hack worked on it. The results page has resorted to last years results.

Yea Moroso is just where you described.

Oh well, hopefully you do good over there at Moroso. Fortunately I'm barely more than an hour away from bradenton and my car is only a few weeks from being completed so I can't wait to get over there! smile.gif

have you tried Imokolee? I race over there a few times a year. It's 1/8 mile, but the owner operator Ralph is a great guy and does not appear to be in it for the mony like the other track owners. They have a Casino in town so we go early and plung our brains out. great fun... graemlins/hurray.gif
There used to be a large group of racers that came over from Ft Myers to Moroso to race the point races when it was the TNN series. Chip Rawlins was name that come to mind.
