I bought my '67 back in March of this year. I have it registered and insured with antique plates but now the question comes up, do i need a county sticker for it? (Prince William County if it matters)

Thanks

I, like you, bought my '67 in March and have antique plates. I think the city/county sticker thing depends on the city/county you are in. We used to have to get city stickers in Virginia Beach but they did away with them a few years ago. Now you pay the fee when you register.:(

Brandon,

I don't think so. I'm in Fairfax and my '66 Impala is registered as an antique also. Although I had to pay personal property tax on the car I have never had to install the sticker, nor do I have to have it inspected.

Fairfax has done away with the stickers. Don't know about PWC. I say just keep it in the glove box.

Call the PW county treasurers office. Most counties in VA have an "antique" county sticker. Just like the plates, you only buy them once.

I live in Bedford County, and we are required to run a county sticker on all vehicles, even antique classed with vintage tags. But the county does not charge us for the stickers on antique cars and trucks, they just send them to us, when we pay for our other vehicles. We are the only county or city around that still makes us run the decal.

Thanks for the insights guys. I guess I need to contact the county directly since I tried to figure it out through the website but couldn't do it!

Hey Willie! I spent 7 years in Goode before moving to the Manassas area 3 years ago

cool I live on the 460 side, right at the Forest/Goode line. When the area codes were 703 and 804, I was 804 and my next door neighbor was 703.

I lived in Palmyra (Fluanna Co) recently. Registered several classic cars there, but don't think I ever got a sticker for one.
