: Repainting a used grill.....HOW?

I wanted to ask if anyone here knows if this grill repainted correctly for an SS/HC would still have the silver paint as in the picture or does the black go all the way to the edge of the silver grill trim? I know that the bottom edge has to be the same colour as the car but I am more interested in the black scheme of the paint. I also picked up some SEM Landau black as I saw on here that it is the closest someone was able to get to the original colour. I find that flat black is to dull.

That picture is correct for a 71 SS.....not sure about HC though.

I thought the grill colour was black all the way to the edge of the steel trim or is it black/silver/(then steel trim)

Here is a picture of my original 71 Heavy Chevy grill.
There is no metal trim, all plastic one piece. Black is actually much closer to flat black. I have another NOS grill at the shop, might be able to take a pic of it in a day or two, but the color is definitely flat, not glossy at all.
