It's been a long time. I bought a house a few years ago and the chevelle went in to storage for 3 years until I could afford to drive it again (fiance was still in university), and this summer she's finally back out. As soon as I got it back out i immediately started making plans on what to work on. Then the car decided for me and one of the connecting rod bearings in my 454 crapped out, so i have a tear down in my near future. It's ok though i'm used to the game our cars like to play with us. Using it as an excuse to swap in an OD tranny at the same time.

Anyway, as soon as i started making plans i immediately found myself back here, so thought I might as well say hello now that i'm back.

Hey chris welcome back. Well let me tell you that I'm a little further on in life then you, me and my wife got out of college about 10 years ago. So the next hurdle you will face is kids. I just got my chevelle out of storage 6 months ago. (Have 2 kids) I never got the body work done to it yet. Its on the list. So if you plan on having kids take the time now to fix that car, otherwise it may be delayed another 10 years. Let me tell you my kids love to ride in the chevelle (ages 5 and 3) I can't even pull it out of the garage with out them being in the car with me. They can tell that my car brings out the kid in me. Good luck and get working!

Hehe ya i'm well on my way there! I've actually been out of school for 7 years, but my fiance just finished this past xmas. Combination of my only being in a tech school for 2 years, her in university for 5, and i'm 3 years older so i was out for a year before she even started :P

We're getting married in just over a month, and i'm hoping i have about 2 years to work on the car before kids are on the way...

Thats cool. I tell you what enjoy your years as a DINK (Duel Income No Kids)while you can. Life changes when you have kids. Its alot better but in a different way. If you buy a house be sure it has at least a 1 car garage, to store your chevelle.
