I have a 69 Chevelle convertible. The top is one year old. It looks great when it has been left up for long periods of time, but when it is down, just for a day, I get wrinkles in the rear side panels. I know there is no way to stop them since the folds cause them with the top down. However, is there a top treatment that anyone knows about that can remove the wrinkles. I am a bit anal and it just bugs me seeing those wrinkles. I have attached a picture of the car and one with the top area with the wrinkles. Any help would be appreciated.

There's really not much you can do about it. They will smooth back out.
You could never put the top down, but that's not cool.

Pretty common area for those wrinkles. I would agree that leaving the top up in the sun / heat will be the best remedy. I would put the top up as soon as you're done cruising and not let it sit in the down position any longer than necessary.
I remember years ago before no iron dress shirts were the norm that my wife would always put a wrapping type tissue paper between the folds in my dress shirts when folding these shirts before putting them in a suitcase for a road trip. This always kept the shirts from getting wrinkles. I don't know why that worked but it did. Maybe the same principle might apply to convert. tops.......watch how that area folds when you're putting it down and put a rag/towel in between the fold/s and see what happens?
Let us know if you try it and it works!
