Spent just a few hours at the show today. I had a chance to see the Rat Pack and a few others. The weather was just beautiful. Cars looked pretty straight this time with the use of some colored line. I have been looking for 834 alternator for my Chevelle. Looked around the swap meet and there was an alternator inside a bag. I looked at the numbers and it was 834. Talked to the owner and he said that it had been completely restored with correct plating. Asking price $60.00, I said, "sold." Also had a chance to talked to one of the Ground Up guys. I told them that the floor I bought fit perfect. He said that they are selling 15 floors per week.

Had an ABSOLUTE BLAST at the show!! My car is down with a trans failure, so Dan 00WS6 was kind enough to let me ride with him to dinner Friday. WOW!! What a car!! I'm suffering from Blower Envy!! Gene Chaas was kind enough to offer a ride as well, but I didn't get back to the show field in time to find him!

Chuck Hanson gave a WONDERFUL seminar on how to take better pictures! I learned more from him in 30 minutes than I have in several years of cussing at the camera and re-reading the manual! Clear & concise, with his trademark humor mixed in, a FUN class!

Sorry I missed seeing more (or any) of some of you guys! I had to go home today (Sun)-hurt my back, needed to go ice down and float in the pool for a bit. Yay Vicadin! Gene, hoped you & your son liked the fishing!

Anyone that was at the show on Saturday and wants a digital picture, shoot me an email with a description of your car, and if I have it, will email it to ya.

Thanks again to MCC for all their hard work-yet another awesome show!

I second Sid's comments, we had an absolute blast. Sean (PickSS) and I were there the whole weekend (Sid lives there :)) - ricks_67 & Judy came down this morning (our little Super Hero gang :)).

A bunch of us went over to Cecil Drag way. First time I actually met Chuck Hansen, what a genuinely nice guy, just a real pleasure to talk to about Chevelles. And like Sid stated, gave some real good pointers on how to photograph cars. Thanks Chuck and all the MCC folks!!! :)

This was my first time at this show and WOW I was impressed. There were alot of great cars and friendly people. I was expecting to shell out 20 to 30 bucks to get me and my family into the show and was happley surprised that there was no admission fee and WOW what a great place to have a car show right on the water. Great job MCC club and THANK YOU

I got out there for a couple of hours with my wife and son and (as usual) had a great time. It was good to meet Rick and Joe, apparently we'd just missed Gene. Never did find Bill and Al but I didn't have trouble finding their cars. Beautiful!
I took lots of pics and I'll post them when I get a chance to resize them, hopefully tonight.

Sorry I missed ya! My youngin' wasn;t catching fish and wanted to split. We left around 11. Worked out OK as we pulled in around 7:00.

Oh, and we didnt need a " Jesus coil " red label dropped from heaven on the way home! Completely uneventful!

Well except for the splatters of oil on my legs when I got home. Never even felt them! Now, who here told me to switch to a copper oil pressure line? Man, I should have left the old thick vinyl ALONE!

Great show, great folks!

Who ended up winning the Cam Am Club award? My #1 choice was the " Road King" award car. Drive it anywhere, run 11's, and drive it home.

THe second was an excellent driver that's RUN all over the place.

The thrid was my favorite Elky.

Sorry I wasnt there to give the award out. Dave Krespan hopefully stood in.

Sid,I thought your name was called during the awards ceremony for one of the bigger prizes. You had to be there to win, they said you had gone home, and the gave the prize to someone else.Wasn't the engine, but I wasn't close enough to hear what it was.May be some body else can help.

Sorry I missed the show, it sounds like fun was had by all.
I just recieved an email from the Chevelle Club, I guess Donnie was in a accident on the way to the show?
Here is a link to the pic of the accident. http://www.chevelles.net/mcc/accident.htm
I could not tell if the car was hurt or not.
When someone has pics of the show please post them so I can see them.

I saw the pics when Donnie arrived at the show field on Friday. I have to give credit where credit is due! He kept a smile on his face and kept the show on schedule after being involved in an accident like that! What a great show! My family and I had a great time!! I have to congratulate Sean (PICKSS) on his Awards. They were well deserved! What a sweet 66!!!

Wow.... what I great show. Dan, Dave, Sid, Gene, Rick, Judy and gang, it was fun hanging out with all of you as it was a great time with a lot of good laughs along the way. The cars were awesome again this year, and seem to get better with time. Dave, thanks for the compliments, your car was also very deserving of the award you received. Next year I can't wait to see the new big monster motor. Hey keep me and Dan in the loop of any shows you are going too and we will meet up with you. Sid the Cd was very cool. Your pictures look great...me 9 year loved them. Gene, glad you had a safe trip, just wish I could make your show this year...and yes Bob's 68 pavement pounder won the award...that guy is living the dream Dan.. next stop Pottstown hear we come!

Yeah, I won the wiring harness, but you had to be there to win, that keeps it fair for all. I'd hurt my back earlier in the day and had to go home to ice down, oh well.

Sorry I missed you, and others, was a great time!

Bob's 68 was one of the highlites of the weekend!!! Laying down an awesome burnout and then an 11.55 in the quarter with the trunk packed to the hilt with cooler, chairs, tools, car cleaning stuff and who knows what else! Yes he is living the dream. Sean I hope to get the motor done by next year?

I'd hurt my back earlier in the day and had to go home to ice down, oh well.

Sid, are you sure Dan didn't hurt your back on the ride to the dinner on Friday?:D

Nice to see you guys again....Rick, Dan, Sean. It didn't feel the same without my Chevelle with. But I think that was a new record for the most El Camino's at that show. I counted at least 17 of the 64-72's, not including mine and a few other wallflower ones I saw. The sun took a toll on my son.....he fell asleep before we were out of MD.

Thanks for all the postitive feedback guys, it's very much appreciated. Donnie did have a run in with a semi that pulled out in front of him on 301. He is very lucky to have walked away uninjured from that wreck. I got the call right after it happend and took off to go pick him up. The car has some minor damage to it, but nothing that can't be fixed.
I'm kinda suprised that more Chevelles didn't partake in the 1/4 mile pass. Only 6 of us did and it was a blast doing so. I believe we are going to try and work it in again next year. I like the comment the track announcer made about me being a rookie when I blew through the staging lights. Guess I changed his mind when I cut an .020 light :D :D.

My Cousin Judy and I drove up on sunday. Great turnout, we had a great time hanging out with Dan, Sean, Sam, Sid and anyone else that we met. Judy was impressed! She also won the presidents favorite trophy. I didn't have many shots left on my camera after spending 4 days in Harrington,DE but here are some that I took. http://rides.webshots.com/album/559623627dafMNL

Wish I was there to give Bob the Can Am ROAD KING award. That , to me, is the ultimate Chevelle build.

Drive it where ever the heck you want, run 11's, and get it home without drama. ANd looking 100% inspection ready whenever you see the car, even right off a 10 hour pull!

Of course, Mr. Wilcox has a TON of experience behind him being both a master mechanic and drag racer!

And he even gave me a new coil to replace my "Jesus coil".

Great show. Usual cars took home the hardware. Had a great drive down, got rained on on the way home. Car is a mess. Sorry wife and I missed you Sid. Cyn was not at 100% so we hung out down by the car between 20 trips to the bathrooms.

Sorry to hear about the car and the back.

Had a great time at the show once again! The event was terrific I just wish I had more time to talk with more people and hit up the seminars.

Record number of cars and I have to tell you this is my 7th year and as one of the judges, the cars keep getting better every year. Even if you consider partial restoration/modifications to the car, the owners are definetly learning more and more as they share more information with each other and it shows. We could definitely use some help with judging so if anyone is or was thinking about it please step up. It's easy and even if you're not sure about what or how, just join in and the team will help you along. Plus it helps make shorter work for the group as a whole.

The weather at the park Fri-Sun was outstanding! We hung around as usual Sunday night into Monday at the hotel and for those who left for home out-of-state Sunday afternoon, a quick shower/thunderstorm came through the area sometime after midnight/early morning. Talk about a window of opportunity!

See you all next year, heading up to Niagara Falls in two weeks. Catch some of you there!

Sam
