No I can not. What is this in regard to? Is it something that I can help you with here...or that your GM Dealer can help you with? I'd like to help you, but me email address is not something that I would like to have be public record. Imagine how little work I could get done if my email...or worse, phone number were available to everyone. Please don't take this the wrong way.

Gary,

I just had some questions regarding the new carb intake for the LS1.

Something a lot of people don't realize is that most of your 'larger' corporations don't allow personal email at the jobsite. If everyone was sitting around answering emails all day, nothing productive would get done. Don't begrudge a guy who has a real job, races and finds time to check in here once in a while to help when he can.

Thanks Dave.

Andrew, what are your questons regarding the LS1 intake? I didn't work on it and don't know too much about it right now, but will try to find answers to your questions after the holidays when I get back to work.

Gary,

Do you know where this picture came from?

http://www.pro-touring.com/~anon/Dynospyder[1].jpg

I have a friend that is working on a 67 Nova, here is his website:

IIMuch (http://www.iimuchfabrication.com)

He is interested in that manifold for two reasons. The first being the packaging. He want to have a functional cowl induction hood. The second is that he wants to use a Holley Commander 950 EFI system on it. With Doug Flynn's support we have figured out all the details to make it work with the coil on spark ignition.

My question to you is regarding performance numbers. I know the stock LS6 manifold is very hard to beat for both torque and HP. I just want to make sure that the GMPP manifold does not loose too much power over the LS6 manifold.

Thanks for the help.

Gary,
That looks like a 4500 Dominator style flanged throttle body. What flange is on the intake? 4150 or 4500 or will there be 2 versions.

I'll bet that thing will make some power with a solid roller and that intake!

I really hope that Gary can shine a little light on this combo.

Not sure where that photo came from, maybe Carl Wegner's shop???

The intake has a 4150 style flange as produced.

Power is comparable to production intake. With a little more upside potential due to carb/throttle body possibilities.

Happy new year.

this topic interested me... a quick google search yielded this:

Brian,

Thanks for the link. I saw the Edelbrock manifold at the SEMA show. Its going to be a great alternative for LS1 swaps. The reason I was interested in the GMPP manifold is that its a single plain design. It will be better suited for conversion to EFI. It may sound silly to go this route when the LS1 is already fuel injected. There are 2 things I am interested in. With the injector bungs installed in the GMPP manifold it can be used with any EFI system. I like the Holley system, so I can use it with the LS1. The second reason for my interest is the packaging. With the air intake on top, a regular cowl induction setup can be used.

This has me really interested...I replied to a thread in Bench Racing that was on this same topic... I think it would be an awsome pro-touring motor, and the carb setup would greatly simplify the conversion. 400rwhp would be a breeze with a good cam and some head porting :D

I would really like to see some HP and TQ numbers compared with a stock LS6 manifold. Unfortunately noone is making any power claims. I am pretty sure that it will not work as good as a stock LS6 manifold. I just want to make sure that it does not loose TOO much.
