Hey everybody,

I've been trying to find interior parts for my '73 Chevelle to start restoring it, but I've been having trouble.

I found this baby at a junk yard with only one previous owner (who obviously didn't care about it). When I looked at it, the interior is horrible. The dash is cracked, but has a cover on it (poorly and sloppily put on), all of the rubber weather trim is replaced with caulk, the plastic trim is shot, and EVERYWHERE that panels connect to each other, is covered in a thick layer of duct tape.

What makes this hard, is that everywhere I look, skips the 1973 model. I have heard that certain years of Chevelles' interiors fit in the 1973, and that some years of the El Camino and Monte Carlo will also fit in the 1973 Chevelle. Is this true? If so, what year?

Where do you recommend that I look for parts?

Thanks everybody!

Out of all of the parts listed you said the need to be replaced, the only thing you can get new is window and door seals. Everything else is not made reproduction. You'll have to find them on eBay or make the best of what you have. All 73-77 Chevelle, El Camino, Malibu, Laguna and Monte Carlo are inter changeable. Hey, I have a perfect BLACK UN CRACKED dash for sale. E-mail me if you are interested. hazus00@gmail.com

I understand your pain with not being able to find parts. I have the same problem with my 74.

Good luck on your restoration.

I have a 77 El Camino and it has been a pain finding interior parts. Most of mine came off of ebay. Some I had to purchase twice because of the condition of the parts recieved. The 4th Generation A-Body seems to be the ugly stepchild not many love. Except by guys like us!

That's awesome, I did not know about everything being interchangeable like that! That will hopefully help me a bit. Unfortionatly, I am unable to make due with the plastic paneling in the Chevelle. The only replacements for paneling I can find are door panels :(

I was actually looking on ebay before I posted here, I couldn't find anything worth caring about because of the poor quality of the parts for sale there :(. I like my Chevelle, it looks sporty from the back, and classy from the front... I wish more people would share similar opinions! :beers:
