I have a 71 Chevelle with a m20 4 speed tranny. I recently replaced my clutch with a zoom clutch kit. I realized that I do not have a clutch spring and was wondering if I am soppose to have one. Will I ruin my clutch or throwout bearing without one of these, or can I drive without one. Please help.

Get one or you'll probably wear out the fork and bearing.

Yeah, don't play games. Get yourself a spring. If you have headers and looks like it won't install easily, do a search and you'll get some ideas on how to install it.

on my headers, i put a hose clamp on one of the header down tubes, and attached the return spring to that. Works great.
