Have a 67 wiper motor that does not work. I purchased a rebuilt with same result. I read a post from 2006 that said the top terminal (2 yellow wires) should be hot all the time. Mine is hot only when the key is turned on. It also said the second terminal should be blue. Mine is green. The blue wire is on the washer motor wiring.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to test the motor? I checked the fuse and I believe the switch is good since the old motor used to work. I cleaned the firewall where the screws go in and made sure the copper ground on the motor was clean.
Stumped.

The wiper motor always has power when the key is on, the wiper switch grounds the wires to make it work. If it isn't doing anything, check the wiper switch for proper ground.

Also check the ground strap that is attatched to the motor.
If this loses it's ground, the motor will not work.
Ground strap-----switch
And if it is a new motor----could be the contacts are stuck---Happened to me

On my Malibu the green wire from the wiper motor goes to the temp. switch. If yours is blue maybe someone before spliced it.

Unplug wiring from wiper switch. There are 3 wires, one for low speed, one for high speed and one for the washer. Grounding a wire makes something work. DK blue is for the washer, Black and light blue is for the wipers.
