Hey guys I am swapping the speedo in my current guage cluster. The one that is there is for a column shift SS (with P R N D 1 2) and I am putting in a speedo for a floor shift. I shouldnt have to go with a different circuit board or anything should I? Any tips on taking apart the dash? I will probably be taking out the steering column if that helps.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

The circuit board is the same. You don't have to remove the steering column but it does have to be lowered to access a dash mounting bolt.

I thought about swapping the speedo in my elky before I swapped dashes, I just didn't want to risk breaking any tabs, ruin the circuit board so I left the gear indicator in mine. I think im going to hook up the column linkage to the tranny and make it function with the floor shifter. jim

have someone help, the tabs on the outside of the dash breaks real easy. Then your either glueing it back together, or buying a new dash housing. $$$ If youre going to go through changing the gear indicator, Does that mean your going to change out the column too? Jim
