I replaced my clutch today with a ram racing one. I re-did the rear gasket on my 750dbl due to one of the corner idles not working. All of the above was fixed and works fine. I adjusted the secondaries until just a bit of transfer slot was showing. Turned out I had to close them down more once I got the car idling It was running way to fast. fixed that and wanted to play with the timing. The car is running pretty good but the base was 32-35??? Last time I set it up it was 16-18 and now it is way out there. I had the vacuum plugged but for some reason it is way up there. The car is running pretty good. I replaced my plugs today as well because the exhaust was popping etc but turns out the plugs weren't all that bad. Is it possible my balancer has slipped or isn't accurately marked? I'm thinking about buying a timing tape and use a spark plug tool to find tdc. I know there is allot of writing but I didn't want to leave out something that might be the cause.

Check you mechanical advance springs and make sure one didn't break or pop off.

checked the fly weights today and they are fine. one screw was loose on the rotor though. I will get a timing tape and the tdc tool and get a good mark from there. I would believe 20 base but not 35.
