My apologies if my post is similar to those that have already been answered a billion times but I searched and didn't see anything that quite matched. So, I have a 1972 Chevelle Malibu with a 350 in it, no AC. I recently had a front and rear disc brake conversion (Classic Performance Parts) done and decided to go with the 2inch dropped spindles. I neglected to factor in that my springs and shocks were not in the best of shape so with new dropped spindles my ride was REALLY LOW in the front and would scrape BAD when going over small bumps or when riding with a passenger. I currently have some BF Goodrich Radial TA's 245-60-15 and with rolling the lip as not an option, I decided to put in a few spring blocks to temporarily fix the problem, which it does by raising the front end some. SO, the question at hand is when I decide to replace my springs and shocks, what size spring should I go with? I really like that lowered look and was considering getting 1'' dropped springs but I really don't want to have the same scrapping problem again. Will stock height springs along with the dropped spindles still give me some drop on my front end? Will 1” or 1.3” dropped springs be too much? What about brands? I know it’s hard to really say for certain but any suggestions or words of wisdom would be great. Thanks!
