i was about ready to purchase 262/268 voodoo cam for my sb chevy. i wanted to know if anybody had a sound clip of this cam?

Not trying to hijack your thread, but I was interested in the "hot cam" sound. Anyone have a site with several different cam sounds?

I can't help with the Voodoo cam, but I do have a sound/video clip of the GM Hot Cam in the LT4 (350cid) in my Corvette. It's a large file (about 9MB), but here's the link if you're interested: Hot Cam clip (http://home.comcast.net/~gs470/GSHotCam.avi)

i cant find the sound clip on that page but that car is fully built with a blower and stuff, my car in n/a

That is a nice vette. The "hot cam" does have some lope to it. I was expecting something much milder. Thanks alot.

thats cool, what all is on your car? Ive got a sb 350 with performer rpm intake, performer 600 carb, flowtech ceramic headers,and a auburn pro diff with rich. 3.55 gears? are you putting that same voodoo cam in your car or just one similar, if so any install tips?

I've got a sbc 350, virgin bore, with performer intake, edel 600 carb, dynomax ceramic long tube headers, 2.73 on a 10" open diff..

Mine's a daily driver...and the cam I ordered is the exact same one...

Dunno about tips...it ain't been intalled yet...but sounds like our setups are very similar...

I have a 9.8-1 355 chevy , although i don't have the voodoo 262 cam i have the comp 262-280 cam, it's very similar with 218-230 @.050 and 113 LSA 108ICL my car is MUCH tamer than my friends " hot cammed" LT-1. Mine has almost no lope at all.

That HOT cam sounds pretty sweet!

The cam also generates some decent power. Just the cam alone in the bone stock LT4 was worth over 30RWHP. Adding a few more basic bolt-ons (long tube headers, free flowing exhaust, 52mm throttle body and quality computer tuning on a dyno) resulted in a total of nearly 70RWHP over stock. I was very pleased with the results.
